I love the way you approached this prompt and how far you spread out. Spanning decades of tables, you invited me to sit at each one. I love it, and you. Thank you for your writing, always.
The table was in an upstairs area in Mary Ann’s parents’ home. Her grandma grew up on a farm as far as I know, so I assume it was the table in a farmhouse for much of its life. It was in Mary Ann’s and my house for many years, although not the main dining table. Then is was the kitchen table in my Daughter’s house for a few years before its last stop in my loft before it move on to be a part of you and Frances/Jen’s life.
For me it’s not a table, but 4 ladder back chairs that were my mother’s. Still got ‘em. I’ll have to think on your prompt. There are certainly memories worth writing about there. 🤍
Oh Kate, thank you. And please do write about the 4 ladder back chairs. I am so obsessed with the stuff of our memories and the doors they unlock. Maybe you can write it and then read it to me in person. ☺️
Beautiful!
Thank you, Holly!

Thank you, wonderful wife. I love you!
So beautiful!
Thank you my friend. Now I want to hear all the history of the table you gave us, and all we are inheriting!
